Ut Prosim El Porvenir:
That I May Serve the Future

Students join hands around the National Flag of HondurasThrough a University Honors Colloquium, a group of 32 undergraduates is making a real difference in Honduras. The students are organizing and designing a comprehensive development project to with the community of El Porvenir, Honduras. Students in the group will travel there this summer to put the projects into action. To find out more about this exciting project, click here.

Our Mission

University Honors challenges motivated students to create their own world-class education. The program supports students' efforts to take advantage of all that a major research university offers in the intimate setting of a smaller academic community. Integral to undergraduate education at Virginia Tech, University Honors provides leadership in innovative and extraordinary learning opportunities.

Info Sessions

  • 3:15 PM Appt only. Call 540-231-4591 for an appointment at least one day in advance.
  • Due to Orientation activities there will be no information sessions at 1:15 pm during the month of July.
  • Our office will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2009.

ORIENTATION

Entering Freshmen who have been accepted to the Honors program will have two Honors-specific sections during Orientation.
Day 1@ 9:30 am
Squires Student Center
Day 2 @ 11, 12, or 1 pm
