When people speak of “goodness,” are they referring to virtue or pleasure? Put it another way: which is more important to you: decency or delight? Since the days of Moses and Aristotle a host of definitions for ‘the good life’ have not merely been proposed but put to the test. This course covers a variety of disciplinary approaches to such subjects as food, drugs, sex, work, religious faith, and recreation. (more…)

Sustainable Energy Engineering Course

A Special Study course on Sustainable Energy Solutions in a Global Society will be offered this fall semester, Tuesday & Thursday at 9:30 - 10:45, and will be led by David Dillard (ESM), Mike Ellis (ME) and Cortney Martin (ISE). New Honors Director

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Dr. Terry L. Papillon has been selected as the new director of University Honors.  Many Honors students know Dr. Papillon through his work with University Honors for the past few years as well as his involvement as Faculty Preceptor for the Main Campbell Honors Community.  Dr. Papillon will begin his directorship on Tuesday, July 1, 2008.  Dr. Papillon will be abroad until mid-June.  Remember that Dr. Dudley will be director through Monday, June 30.
